On Friday September 6, I give a public talk at the Maastricht PAS Festival, the opening of the cultural season in Maastricht. The talk is titled ‘What should we do with our brains?’ (Wat moeten we doen met ons brein?), and I give it both in English and in Dutch.

From their website: The PAS-festival provides an accessible introduction to the research that is carried out at the Maastricht University: Science. Another important branch is the fine arts, mainly in the form of music and theatre: Art. And all of this is seasoned with Pleasure, not only through a small programme of clownesque street theatre, but also because all the participants and visitors join in creating a wonderful atmosphere and enjoying a varied programme together. Boekenwinkels staan er vol mee: zelfhulpboeken die je aansporen om beter voor je brein te zorgen. Zulke boeken beloven ons dat we pas echt gelukkig en succesvol worden als we ons brein leren kennen. Hoe ziet zo’n goed leven met een brein eruit?
