New publication: A Pragmatist Approach to Audience Participation in Symphonic Music

Harvest time! An article I wrote together with former colleagues Peter Peters and Imogen Eve, is finally published! The very cool edited volume, Participatory Practices in Art and Cultural Heritage: Learning Through and from Collaboration is super interesting for those working on participation in the arts, or experimental research (in arts, culture or heritage). The book, edited by Ruth Benschop, Christoph Rausch, Emilie Sitzia, and Vivian van Saaze, offers critical reflection on participatory practices, with a focus on new norms and forms of collaboration as participation. Happy to be in it!

Our article talks about our experimental project The People’s Salon, which we try to understand using Dewey’s theory of art as an experience. You can read it here.
