My First Interdisciplinary Art: student work

My First Interdisciplinary Art: student work

Last week, my first-year students of the interdisciplinary art bachelor iArts, finalized the project we worked on for 10 weeks. It was their first course, and their first introduction to interdisciplinary arts. They worked on theme of the journey: where do you come from, and how does that shape how you experience where you are, and where you want to go? They were thrown in the deep, with the assignment to create an exhibition (from making the actual works, to curation, production and PR). That resulted in an impressive showcase (titled ‘Crossing Pathways’) of a variety of works, from installations to short movies, performances and paintings. The students are wonderful diverse group, coming from different countries and continents. And that really showed in the exhibition. A promising start, and I’m looking forward to get to work with them the coming years.
